The 8th grade students, teachers, and parent chaperones had a wonderful time at Eagle Bluff Environmental Learning Center on their three-day outdoor retreat.

Students enjoyed the high ropes course, GPS scavenger hunt, and survival class. They learned about rattlesnakes and raptors from a naturalist and at night, students went on a two-mile night hike and ate s'mores by the campfire.

After students reflected on the trip, many students discussed how they enjoyed being electronics-free for a few days and were grateful for the support and encouragement from their peers when they had to challenge themselves. They liked learning about nature in the "driftless" region of Minnesota.
