The purpose of the Achievement and Integration (A&I) for Minnesota program is to pursue racial and economic integration, increase student achievement, create equitable educational opportunities, and reduce academic disparities based on students' diverse racial, ethnic, and economic backgrounds in Minnesota public schools.
The mission of St. Anthony - New Brighton School District's Multilingual/English Learners program is to empower learners with social and academic language skills, while honoring and building on the personal and cultural assets of each student. We work collaboratively to dismantle systemic barriers, thus ensuring equitable access for all.
Homelessness is defined as children and youth “who lack a fixed, regular, and adequate nighttime residence.” If you are experiencing the following nighttime residence, you may qualify for benefits under the McKinney-Vento Act. In accordance with state law, we are required to ensure that all school-age children living within the boundaries of the St. Anthony-New Brighton School District are being educated. Our primary role is to provide necessary information and collect forms from each homeschool for compliance.
School-based mental health therapy is an opportunity available to all students and families in the St. Anthony-New Brighton School District (SANB).
Three therapists from Lee Carlson Center for Mental Health and Well-Being work in SANB schools to offer individual and family therapy for a variety of mental health issues including depression, anxiety, family change, drug/alcohol use, trauma, peer conflicts, etc. Learn more about the resources available to you.
Section 504 requires that students who demonstrate “a substantial limitation in a major life function", have a written accommodation plan that will assist with their participation in the general educational environment.
St. Anthony-New Brighton (SANB) is committed to providing a free and appropriate public education to all students, including students who are handicapped, consistent with the definitions set forth in Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990.
St. Anthony-New Brighton (SANB) provides comprehensive programs for students with disabilities. Service is provided to students who range in age from birth through high school, with some students receiving services until age 22.
SANB strives to provide challenging and tailored instruction to students in the general education classroom whenever possible.

Title I, Part A, of the Elementary and Secondary Act (ESEA) provides financial assistance to local educational agencies (LEAs) and schools, with high numbers or percentages of children from low-income families, to assist schools in ensuring that all children meet challenging academic standards.
